Galloway Fire Department visits ACCS
Last week, the Galloway Fire Department visited ACCS to talk about fire safety and show our scholars what’s inside of a firetruck!
Local firefighters discussed the importance of families having an emergency exit plan in case of a fire and helpful fire safety tips. Scholars then were able to take a guided tour around a functional fire engine, where they could ask questions and check out firefighter equipment up close.
Thanks for visiting us, Galloway Fire Department, and thank you for all the work you do to keep us safe!

ACCS receives school supply donation
On Wednesday, September 22nd, Longport police officers Shaune Slattery and Matthew Long teamed up with Olivia Stone in delivering school supplies to ACCS scholars!
Olivia, a freshman at Ocean City High School, has made it her mission over the last three years to help children within the community. Her efforts have impacted the lives of so many children over the years by providing them with the resources necessary to be successful.
We look forward to seeing Olivia again next year and being a part of such an incredible cause!
Happy first day of school, ACCS scholars! (Photos)
We were so happy to see everyone’s smiling faces this morning (behind our masks, of course)! Here’s to a great school year!

ACCS Sponsors Walk Against Violence
Atlantic Community Charter School proudly sponsored the Coalition for a Safe Community’s walk against gun violence on July 26th. The event was attended by many members of the community, including Atlantic City Police Department officers and representatives from the Office of the Atlantic County Prosecutor.
Check out our creative bulletin boards!
We love when our halls are both informative and decorative!
Scholars show off their "Caught You Being Good" purchases!
ACCS students, from Ms. Abraham's 2nd grade, are showing off their newly purchased sweat suits from The Owl's Nest, the ACCS school store. Students are rewarded with "Caught You Being Good" dollars and are able to "purchase" items from the store.
This is an effective school wide behavior incentive program that supports experiences of financial literacy where students have savings accounts and make purchasing decisions based upon their saving habits!
ACCS's Graduation Drive-Thru (Photo Gallery)
Everyone had such a great time at ACCS’s Drive-Thru Graduation! We loved celebrating our 8th graders in such a special way. Every student received their diploma, any awards they won, and a gift bag filled with goodies courtesy of the 8th grade team. Congrats, Class of 2021!
